This is such a beautiful piece. I love the soft shading, and the details you've put into this; the folds of the cloth, the movement of the hair, her tattoos, the grains/etc she's holding in her hands. Her thinness just makes her look more ethereal, if that makes sense. Insubstantial, like she could float away or disappear at any time. And her face is gorgeous, what awesome bone structure. Wow. Just wow.
Oh thank you so much. I'm so gratified that you like her and some of my other work too. Really I am. As hard as I contend with my pictures, you can't believe how nice it is to find someone who genuinely likes it. So a very big thanks to you and all the nice things you've ssaid. I appreciate it very much.
ooh lovely. and I like the low angle "shot". but wow. yah, i know she's supposed to be insubtantial and etherial but i'd still think there'd be some hint of muscle mass, however diminised, or at least the suggestion of the forearm bones crossing each other? still, minor crit. wayz, the sweep of the hair is fantastic. I'm still struggling to get that balance b/t graphic and realism for the hair in my maggie c. painting, but you've nailed it here.
This is incredible. I'm not sure why, but I love the thick dark line down the left, i think it makes the image stand out more but it's an exceptionally good job. Wish i was that tallented
Well, thanks! Drawing is what I seem to enjoy most (besides writing, having a laugh, and purchasing shoes.)
I can't take pictures for toffee. I swear loudly that I've got everything nice and neat in the viewfinder and then the photo prints up and everyone's heads are cut off or things are cock-eyed. It's a conspiracy. I weep.
Furthermore, I'm sure you'd trounce me if we had a Terribly Cool Accents competition. A southern drawl just can't stand up to a Scottish brogue. I read that our southern accent is a corruption of Scottish/N. Irish. I can believe it. NC is the largest population of Scots outside Scotland. My family tree bleeds tartan. Also we sometimes bleed blood, but that's highly speculative.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
